E-commerce Start-up Experience


Started up three e-commerce sites from scratch in Japan. Lands' End Japan - an apparel e-commerce site, Giftken.com - selling gift certificate and Luxlook Japan - selling world luxury brand items. Hands on Marketing (on line & off line ads and collaboration), Merchandising, Site design, Operations (a call center, order taking etc.) and System design at each company.

Managerial Experience and Skills


Grew Damart K.K. from a 3 people to 50 people operation and grew its sales 40 times from 100 million yen to 4 billion yen. Worked closely with the President to create strategic business plan, Created and implemented standards for Accounting/Financing, Human Resources and other areas.

Bilingual Cross-cultural communications

Worked in Taiwan & Hong Kong. Worked with the French, British, and other European people and culture while at Damark K.K. Worked and communicated directly with the US entity at Lands' End Japan. Had extensive training and experience in trouble shooting cross cultural conflicts and communication breakdown.
